Cambodia Distributed Ledger – CamDL

Abstract

The Cambodia Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021 – 2035 [1], a national strategic framework issued by Royal Government of Cambodia, highlights the necessity of achieving digital transformation in order to foster the economic growth of the country. To achieve this goal, various digital enabling infrastructures are required to be built in order to benefit all growing sectors. Cambodia Distributed Ledger (CamDL) is one of the digital enabling infrastructures with the goal of introducing Cambodian to the concept of blockchain and its benefit. This paper will discuss the existing challenges faces by different industries, examine the existing technologies within these industries, as well as examining how CamDL can fulfill the gaps of these existing technologies. Finally, this paper describes in detail all CamDL features such as account identity, permissioning, privacy, wallet app, and IPFS as well as the technical implementation of those features
