Job Trends Analysis Using Power BI

Abstract

Job trends analysis is an important factor in understanding the demand that can help job portals realize the current hiring trends, including for the information and communications technology (ICT) area. To know the information-related job demands in Cambodia, data scraping is the best method to extract data from websites. The data can be used to analyze the number of hires in the job category, industry, and locations to show the most in-demand and the kind of majors required. The purpose of this study is to check an overview of what the job needs, identify re-skill and up-skill opportunities, understand what jobs requirement for ICT, and see the trend of job demand each month. It definitely helps job seekers and applicants to know the job demands and employers’ requirements. Additionally, high school students can decide which majors they should study at the university. Likewise, schools or education institutes can see the major requirements so that they can develop the course curriculum.
